Before Photos

A whole-house remodel that transformed a standard builder spec home into a Modern Coastal retreat. The original layout felt cramped, with a wall near the entrance restricting the flow of space. Renz Construction reimagined the floorplan to create an open and inviting living space.

Key Features

Warm white oak hardwood flooring adds continuity throughout the first floor, while the home’s contemporary design is elevated with fresh paint, updated lighting and coastal-inspired touches.

Kitchen

The kitchen showcases Scandinavian-style cabinet doors in a custom Stone Hearth color, complemented by a stained white oak island. Other amenities include:

  • Paneled appliances
  • Smart storage solutions, including blind corner pull-out storage
  • Top-of-the-line appliances, an icemaker and built-in microwave drawer

Living Spaces

The great room boasts a larger gas fireplace, adorned with custom tile and reclaimed beams and woodwork. Second floor updates included:

  • New carpeting and paint
  • Updated light fixtures throughout
  • A statement light at the top of the staircase

  • Custom tile, all-glass shower
  • Floating vanity
  • Cambria Brittanicca Gold countertops
  • Custom closet

Lower Level

The lower level delivers a one-of-a-kind ambiance with a moody, 50s-style bathroom and full bar. Features include:

  • Graphite vanity
  • Kohler lacquered brass fixtures
  • Black and copper geometric tile
  • New countertops, plumbing fixtures and lighting
  • Can lights under the cabinets
  • Toe-kick lighting

Unique Requirements

Loading-bearing walls had to come down to create an open-concept living space in this builder-grade home. Renz Construction collaborated with engineers to remove walls while preserving the home’s structural integrity.
