Our Merton, Wisconsin client wanted a custom home addition that would create an open feel to their kitchen while expanding both their area for dining and entertaining. In order to increase the square footage, create an open floor plan, and build in additional storage, we removed the exterior second-story deck and built out a two-story custom house extension. The first floor was expanded to add additional storage for this Waukesha County split-level home, while the second story was built out to accommodate a luxury kitchen, living room, and dining room addition.
Custom-built Island Complete with Seating Bar
Our clients’ new kitchen now features a custom-built island complete with seating bar, quartz countertop, an elegant sink basin and faucet feature, and ample cabinet storage. A wooden ceiling accents the clean, white aesthetic of the space featuring beautiful iron pendant lights, a full-size pantry, and new stainless steel appliances.
During the expansion, we opened up the existing kitchen to flow into a new living room full of natural light. This luxurious additional living space has beautiful Andersen Windows lining each wall and a door leading to a second story deck. A modern ceiling fan frames the room, now big enough for a full set of living room furniture all to create the ultimate flow from kitchen, to dining, to entertainment for all occasions.
The old living room is now home to the formal dining room, just offset from the kitchen, perfectly placed for easy access. To learn more about our custom home additions and extensions, contact us today.
