This remodel turned an outdated 1990s kitchen into a modern space with custom elements and thoughtful design choices.
Key Features
With custom cabinetry, innovative storage solutions, new flooring and updated lighting, the homeowners now have a contemporary kitchen and dining area that meets their needs.
Kitchen Update
The original kitchen only had cabinets on half the walls, which limited storage space and hampered its use. The remodel reconfigured the room to create a more efficient and visually appealing layout that includes:
- A beautiful built-in, tall tower cabinet system
- Striking navy blue lower cabinets, white upper cabinets and floating shelves
- Built-in, roll-tray pantry for maximum storage
- Dry bar area with a wine fridge and built-in storage
- Handcrafted marble backsplash
- All new appliances, including a microwave drawer
- Recessed lighting and new pendant lights over the peninsula
- A striking ceiling fan in the dining room and updated light fixtures throughout
- Cambria quartz countertops
Dining Room & Fireplace Reconfiguration
The adjacent dining room also received a makeover, replacing freestanding furniture with custom cabinetry for a streamlined, cohesive look between the two rooms. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring, upgraded trim and light fixtures complete the upgrade.
The great room fireplace transformation included a fresh new appearance, after the dated green tile was removed. The update included:
- Stunning stone surround
- New gas fireplace unit
- Concrete hearth and mantle
Unique Requirements
Renz Construction restored the home’s original doors, rather than replacing them. This solution maintained the home’s original charm and saved money.
