For this kitchen remodeling project, our Pewaukee, Wisconsin clients wanted to update their kitchen with more durable countertops, better storage, and wanted to optimize the flow to take better advantage of the space. After our clients worked with our designer to develop their vision, our remodelers got to work completely gutting the entire space. The new kitchen features a custom island, new countertops, updated cabinetry, and refinished floors.

ADDING A NEW CUSTOM ISLAND

We removed the old angled island to make room for a custom, rectangular replacement. The new luxury kitchen island features Cambria quartz countertops in Ironsbridge with custom storage below. We added a docking drawer with outlets and USB ports to keep all charging electronics out of eyesight. We included bookshelves on the side of the island so our client can show off her cookbook collection. We completed the island with a touchless faucet and painted the whole thing in the color Highpark.

REMODELING THE LAYOUT

After learning more about how our Pewaukee client uses her kitchen, we chose to demolish the brick archway over the stove and update the appliance layout. We switched the placement of the range and refrigerator to optimize the space and make it more convenient to bring in and unload groceries. We also added a special built-in drawer with a custom lift-up shelf so our client can easily access and store their KitchenAid mixer without having to lift it from one spot to the next.

ADDING THE FINISHING TOUCHES

We stripped the existing floor and replaced flooring where needed. We also installed soft-close upper cabinetry throughout the kitchen during the remodel. To make a visual statement, we added under-cabinet lighting throughout and installed a custom glass mosaic tile backsplash to complement the custom decorative range hood. The newly remodeled kitchen also features a touchless microwave drawer, recessed lighting, and full-extension dovetail drawers rather than standard lower cabinets to meet our client’s needs.
