We had a great time working with our amazing clients on this luxury bathroom renovation in Pewaukee, WI. Our client, a NICU doctor, wanted to have a calming, tranquil, spa-like bathroom to help him unwind after a long day at work. It was also important to create an accessible environment as they plan to retire in this home and would like to take full advantage of the bathroom as they age. We demo’ed the master bathroom down to the studs and worked through a total renovation to meet our clients’ needs and make their vision come to life.
The original bathroom had a lot of features from the 90’s that our clients wanted to modernize. We began by removing the original corner tub and replaced it with a sleek Kohler bubble and soaking tub to create a beautiful focal point in the room. We added a Dimplex electric linear fireplace above the tub to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. This combination of elegant soaking tub and warming fireplace helped to create an ideal environment to sit back and relax.
MODERNIZING THE SHOWER
Another really great way to modernize a bathroom space during a remdole is to tackle the floor and wall treatments. In the case of this Pewaukee master bathroom, we chose to install penny round tile along the side of the tub with complimentary imported tile for the floor and shower. We worked with our clients to design a new, custom walk-in shower with an accent niche, handcrafted custom tile work, and an in-shower bench.
CREATING THE PERFECT NEW BATHROOM LAYOUT
We completed the master bath remodel by adding a full closet with a custom arched, mirrored pocket door to conserve space while adding function. We installed in-floor heating throughout the entire bathroom and added custom vanities with ample storage. The Robern uplift mirrors cover recessed medicine cabinets and are framed with lights to create a warm ambiance throughout the room. Every section of the new luxury master bath is outfitted with Hans Gruey fixtures that add a touch of timeless elegance to the space.
